Cotton prices may fluctuate again
2010-08-25
In the two weeks from 2 Aug-13 Aug, due to domestic spot and futures being affected by the reserve auction expectations, prices dropped to a certain extent. But as the state reserve began to put in last weekend, prices stopped declining. And the reserve auction price converting into the standard price is higher than the factory price index, which drove spot prices to some extent.
International market began to fluctuate affected by the international bulk commodity prices rising. The composite price index integrating cotton futures and on-spot price index maintained fluctuating. Affected by the current international macro environment, cotton prices may fluctuate again.
