The State Grain Bureau released on Jan. 14 a list of 126 Northeast soybean crushers eligible for state subsidy, including 81 in Heilongjiang, 11 in Inner Mongolia, 18 in Liaoning and 16 in Jilin.

The sale of Northeast soybeans lags behind the same period of last year. By Jan. 5, only 50% of Heilongjiang’s commodity soybean production was sold, 10 ~ 20% less on the year-on-year basis. BOABC believes that the government’s subsidy may promote crushers’ purchase of the Northeast soybeans.
