Heilongjiang Commerce Bureau has recently issued a document called Livestock Slaughter Regulations, requiring the slaughter of all domesticated animals, including cows, sheep, broilers, ducks, geese, hogs, etc. at designated slaughterhouses.

The system of the slaughter of all domesticated animals at designated slaughterhouses was carried out in Hebei in 2008 and in Shanxi in 2009. In light of the serious livestock product quality safety cases in the last few years and the current rampant swine flu, more provinces are presumed to adopt this system in the next few years.
