Commodity Storage Companies Exempted from Taxes
2009-12-30

The Ministry of Finance has recently issued a notice, exempting commodity storage companies from the following taxes: business tax on the revenue resulted from state subsidy, stamp tax on capital account book, stamp tax on trading contracts, real estate tax on buildings and land for business use and urban land-use tax. The policy is valid throughout 2010.

The ministry’s list of beneficiaries of the policy includes more than 600 companies, among them are China Grain Reserve Corp. and key state-run cotton, sugar and meat supply companies.
